Low Tracking Shot

For this week we explored an abandoned parking garage in Tacoma, WA. We decided to setup our slider on the ground to get a slow motion tracking shot. We had Edward walk into the frame while Kyle used Rhino Motion to slowly track his footsteps. A couple things to keep in mind when shooting slow motion:

  • Set camera to higher frame rate (we recommend 120fps if possible)
  • Set shutter speed to twice the frame rate (1/50 = 24fps, 1/125 = 60fps, 1/250 = 120fps)
  • Have steady and stabilized motion (use a gimbal or Rhino Slider)
