In this week's episode of Move with Rhino, we wanted to talk about how you can be a better Run and Gun filmmaker when using Rhino Slider EVO. Carrying around video equipment can be a pain but we have a couple tips and tricks on how to improve your workflow. Each and every Move With Rhino episode is shot in less than one hour, which means that we have to pack light and be smart about how we use our gear. Scroll down to watch the video and see the equipment we use (with links).

1. Quick Release Plate
Having a quick release plate attached to your slider and tripod will make it much faster to mount on and off. With a quick release plate, you can simply unlock the plate and take off the slider. Without one, you will have to unscrew the slider each time you want to dismount it from the tripod.
2. Packing Rhino Motion Controller
Often times, the magnetic dock is strong enough to hold the controller in place while moving your slider from one location to another. However, occasionally, the controller can bump into something and fall off. To prevent this from happening we recommend:
- Take off controller and pack into bag (like a lens)
- Keep all cables connected onto slider
3. Backpacks and Cases
Pelican makes great cases for all different types of gear. These cases are great because they are basically bomb-proof. They will protect your gear in the harshest environments. However, we do not catch ourselves using it as much because it is a bit heavy and does not fit as much gear as we would like it to.
CineBags are well known for their durability and quality. These bags have many pockets and it is great for lightweight shooting to store your lenses and camera. However, being a shoulder bag, it gets heavy to carry.
Our favorite backpack/case that comes with us on every shoot is the F-Stop backpack combined with their extra large ICU (internal camera unit). This combo is able to fit more than enough gear and even some clothes when traveling. There are several spots to mount tripods and other larger accessories.
1. Traveling with Rhino Slider EVO
When traveling with your Rhino Slider EVO, we recommend getting a hard shell case if you plan on checking it in. We would not advise using the soft shell Rhino Armor case when flying. You can purchase a hard shell rifle case and it will protect your slider perfectly.

If you want to know which gear we used to shoot this video and most of our films, we have provided the links below. Just remember, that aside from all the gear, the most important part of filming is the story. Good luck!
